Change of heart
Alex opened his eyes to the beeping of the machine as he looked around, he was unfamiliar with the place he was, he tried to remember what had happened last before he fell unconscious it then occurred to him that the last thing he saw was a truck hitting his car, he then looked around once more before he noticed he was in the hospital, some familiar figures were sitting close to him and even a female figure among them was holding his hands, two of the figures noticed his gaze before they jumped up to hug him as if he had been missing for long, naturally, that was Elizabeth and Eric, then noticed that the figure holding his hands had left it abruptly after she noticed he had woken up.
Immediately he saw the figure intently, string of memories poured into his head, he remembered that after he had helped this figure out when she was bullied in the cafeteria his emotions had gone out of control, leading him to go out of the school, he was unable to focus when he was driving because of the chaotic emotions he had gotten into an accident.
Before he woke up he had heard a voice reading books and many other things to him it wasn Elizabeth or Eric but it was the third figure with them which was Rachael, although he did not know that the girl he had always pretended to hate on the surface had seldom left his side throughout his coma just like his friends.
Eric had already brought back the doctor, the doctor then examined Alex, shaking his head in satisfaction he told them that he needed some rest before he could be discharged.
Aunt Maddy came sometime later, she had this joyful expression on her face as she hugged Alex, whispering into his ear she said
